Baby food and sitting up like a champ!

Hey love,

You tried rice cereal for the first time today and I think you liked it. You weren't quite sure at first but then you seemed to get the hang of the spoon thing and ate most of the 1 tablespoon serving (with 2 ounces of breast milk mixed in).  I am excited to add in more exciting things, like avacados, green beans and sweet potatoes to name a few.

Right now you are in your bumpo on the kitchen counter "helping" daddy secure in the new dishwasher. You have been such a good girl lately! (except at night which I will get to later). Yesterday we had our first trainer session in the basement. We put you in your excersaucer and you didn't whine for 90 minutes. You were such a champ. Your dad and I were very proud of you. You just looked around and played with all the attachments to exersaucer and all the things we added to it.

You are sitting up so well now. You still tip over every once and awhile but you can actually sit up with your back straight instead of leaned forward towards your toes like you used to. It is really fun. Sometimes I put you on the floor with pillows or your boppy behind you while I get ready in the bathroom and you just sit and stare at me.

Auntie Soni watched you on Tuesday this past week and you fell off the couch onto the floor! It was your first fall. You were completely fine but you really you shook up your Auntie. She felt so bad. You are just such a wiggler and a mover now that we can't take our eyes off you unless you are on the floor.

You are still loving your jumperoo and we still love watching your jump in it!

You have been wanting to get up at night to eat! Last night it was 2:30 but usually it is more like 4 or 5. I would prefer you didn't as I do like my sleep but you do seem hungry! I know you are capable of falling asleep on your own as there are times when I hear you wake up but you go back to sleep on your own. That is why when you don't fall back asleep I figure you are hungry. I don't know if I should or not, but the sooner I feed you the sooner I get to go back to sleep! I hope it doesn't continue. I would like you to eat more at your last feeding of the night, I think that would help.

I think you are still in the teething process as you love chewing on things. I am not ready to remove the pacifier from you life as it still helps soothe you when you need especially now that you are starting to teethe. The "books" say to get rid of it at 6 months, so that gives 11 days he he.

I love you soooo much my Mayabird and I feel so lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for all the joy your bring into our lives!!!
